I love a bunch of lazy days strung together, particularly ones with a food itinerary to be followed. This was my second weekend in LA last month:
Friday lunch – almost the whole menu at Marisco’s, on Lincoln Blvd in Santa Monica, including the chicharrones quesadilla (with guac, of course).
Saturday afternoon – chicken sandwich at Chik-fil-A somewhere near Palos Verdes (maybe Torrance?)
Sunday morning – slow-cooked egg with grits, kale and thick-cut pastrami from Bean & Thyme, Santa Monica Farmers Market:
Also on Sunday – peach ginger pie and iced tea at Intelligentsia on Abbott Kinney, in Venice (that pie was phenomenal):
